Fauna bridge across the Holstebro-Herning motorway

The purpose of the 54-meter-long fauna bridge is to ensure that red deer and other animals in the area can cross the highway without presenting a danger to motorists or to themselves. The bridge, which spans four lanes of motorway, will give motorists a sense of driving into a small tunnel. Arkil Bro & Beton is responsible for construction of the arched bridge. The bridge is one of many that will be erected along the stretch of road and makes up a part of the 8.5 km long stretch of motorway between Tvis and Aulum, for which Arkil is the turnkey contractor.
