Product description
Concrete P35 is a factory-made dry mortar product that is ready for use after thorough mixing with water. The product is made of Portland cement, additives and oven-dried and sorted silica sand with a controlled grain curve. In its mixed state, Concrete P35 is plastic and vibration-free concrete that can be used for very different concreting tasks. Concrete P35 is not self-leveling – it still requires leveling and can be done with a certain slope. The product satisfies the material requirements for aggressive environments (see DS/EN 206 DK NA:2020).
- Self-levelling and self-compacting concrete
- Can be cast in up to 200 mm
- Fast-curing – tolerates foot traffic after 4-6 hours
- Requires only the addition of water
Concrete P35 can be used for repairs and casting in thicker layers in connection with, e.g. casting and repair of steps, levelling layers, floors, bridge flooring etc. that require medium loads.
The surface must be well-suited, firm and free of any loose particles, cement slurry, dust or other impurities that could prevent sufficient adhesion to the surface.
Concrete P35 is mixed in a suitable concrete mixer for at least 5 minutes. Manual mixing can be done in a tub/bucket using a drill with a whisk attached. When mixing with a drill, first pour the water into the bucket, and then add the dry powder while mixing. Mix until you achieve a good workable and plastic consistency.
Concrete P35 can generally be applied in thicknesses of between 20 and 200 mm. In normal conditions at +20°C, the processing time is approx. 30 min. Lower temperatures will lengthen, and higher temperatures will shorten the processing and hardening times. Depending on the nature of the surface, large variations in the surface can result in contraction cracks. Consideration must be given to contraction and dilation joints and to the use of reinforcement iron with larger layer thicknesses according to the same guidelines as for ordinary concrete pouring. Adding more water than described will reduce the strength and increase the tendency towards contraction cracks.
Newly poured concrete must be protected as soon as possible from rapid drying, with the help of close-fitting plastic film, seals or other suitable approved materials that protect against rapid drying.
Unhardened concrete does not tolerate frost. The temperature should remain between +5°C og +20°C throughout the curing period.
Equipment, machinery and tools should be cleaned just after the use of water.
The product is regularly quality controlled at both internal and external laboratories.
